Terms and Conditions – Cat Pal Cat Sitting Services
These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) set forth the rights and responsibilities of clients (“Client”) and Cat Pal (“Company,” “We,” “Us,” “Our”) regarding the provision of cat sitting and related services. By booking our services, you agree to the following:
1. Services Provided

We provide in-home cat sitting and related pet care services as agreed upon during booking.

Specific tasks (feeding, litter cleaning, playtime, administering medication, etc.) will be outlined in the service agreement or booking confirmation.
2. Client Responsibilities
-
The Client must provide accurate and up-to-date information about their cat(s), including medical conditions, behavioral issues, dietary needs, and emergency contacts.

The Client must provide safe access to the home, including working keys, security codes, or other necessary instructions.

The Client is responsible for ensuring their home environment is safe and suitable for pet care.
3. Payment

Payment terms (full upfront, deposit, or installment) will be specified at the time of booking.

Unpaid balances must be settled before the first scheduled visit.

Late payments may incur additional fees.

Please note all UK holidays will be charged at double the rate.
4. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation and refund eligibility are subject to our Refund Policy, available at Refunds.

Holiday and peak period bookings may have stricter cancellation requirements.
5. Emergencies

In the event of a medical emergency, we will make every effort to contact the Client. If unreachable, we are authorized to seek veterinary care at the Client’s expense.

We are not liable for any illness, injury, or death of pets arising from pre-existing conditions or unforeseeable circumstances.
6. Liability

We agree to exercise reasonable care and skill in the performance of our services.

The Company is not liable for damages to property or injury to pets or persons arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control (e.g., cat aggression, accidents, natural disasters, burglary, faulty home systems).

The Client remains responsible for any damages or injuries their pet causes to the sitter, third parties, or property.
7. Access & Security

All keys and security details provided to us will be handled with strict confidentiality.

Keys may be retained securely by the Company for ongoing or future bookings unless the Client requests their return.
8. Inclement Weather / Force Majeure

In severe weather, natural disasters, or other uncontrollable events, the Company will make reasonable efforts to fulfill services but cannot guarantee attendance.

Refunds or credits may be offered at our discretion.
9. Photos & Updates
-
With Client consent, we may send photo/video updates of your cat(s) during visits.

We will never share images publicly without explicit permission.
10. Termination of Services

The Company reserves the right to terminate services immediately if a pet poses a danger to the sitter, or if working conditions are unsafe.

No refunds will be issued if termination is due to unsafe conditions or aggressive pet behaviour.
11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the United Kingdom.
12. Agreement
-
By booking services with Cat Pal, the Client acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
